I created a background with alcohol inks on watercolor paper and eventually added the flower scene with water color pigments. I am the daughter of a chemist who created different types of water based paints, and endlessly experimented with different ways to make paints and other finishes. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThat apple didn’t fall too far from the tree, and I have even made some pigments from berries to use in my work and feel unconstrained to experiment with different media combinations.
