These sterling silver earrings with a flower and vine pattern are inspired by nature but maybe even more so by some of the old vintage silverware and jewelry my mother and grandmother had.
I have always loved romantic flower and vine themes and I am reminded of a few odd silver spoons and a forks in a repousse’ pattern that would occasionally be mine to use at dinner. (There were usually seven to nine people around that table so that didn’t happen all the time. )There were lots of old things from the 1800’s still in use in our house and it gave me a mysterious feeling and a curiosity about the past when I would hold those old pieces of silverware.
This texture is a favorite of mine with the flower and vine pattern reminiscent of patterns from about 100 years ago, and perhaps inspired by nature just the way those artisans of that time were inspired. I have paired it with a reddish purple 6mm cz for a little sparkle and contrast to the soft antiqued grey in the silver.
