Winter on Evitts Creek is like a blank canvas for my creativity, influencing the colors I choose without me even realizing it. When I pause and observe the stark beauty, I'm constantly surprised by the magic of the evening light on the creek but particularly when there's melting snow and a beautiful sunset.
I created this pendant using a pairing of carnelian and palm root agate in colors like the sunset on the creek. I am including a photo of my view showing the colors after a storm finished moving through leaving the melting snow on damp earth with a frosting of white.
The pendant segment here is about 2 1/2” long and hangs from a 20” hammered curb link chain featuring a beautiful twisting curve to the links.
This piece exudes a quiet beauty in a subtle, simple manner that appeals to those who prefer to make a statement in a quieter way.
