With my studio located in the mountains of rural Western Maryland, and bordered by two creeks, my creativity is inspired by the region's natural beauty.  I see everyday the contrast between the fragile and savage in nature and my work reflects that. Plant forms, rushing water, tranquil pools, even ice and floods find their way into my work.  My process is truly my own, often involving a meticulous and environmentally friendly method of carving into brass and then pressing the resulting texture or pattern into metal.  Each piece I make- whether a necklace, ring, or pair of earrings - reflects a little bit of what I’m inspired by.  I primarily use sterling silver and semi-precious gemstones.
