This miniature watercolor landscape study is one of Evitts Creek in the winter looking down river. I love the ability to see the way the creek curves around the shale banks. From that angle the view shows the flow of the creek towards the Potomac river looking south with the color of the grasses faded to a quiet golden and reddish tan, and the creek flowing quietly just having thawed after a freeze.
